Our Story
MDAN's journey began in Singapore, in the year 2013, when we started a house church. Prior to this, there was already a growing dissatisfaction in us concerning the state of God's church. Discipleship was not taught and carried out in a way where it's supposed to be and standards were not biblical. In view of this and as led by God, we relearnt from the Bible and the Spirit about the definition of church and discipleship.
The odds were against us right from the beginning.
Young pastors, little to no credibility, no denomination, not part of a bigger origanization... these were things that we faced constantly.
However, we were convicted of what we were doing and persevered.
After some years, from a house church emerged a tested and proven team of disciples who were ready to work for the Lord. We received the call to do missions in Central Asia and we answered the call.
- Scripture is Supreme
The old and new testaments are inspired by God and they hold the standards that we must conform to.
All we believe and do must be biblical.
- Who is Jesus?
He is Savior, God, Supreme over all, Creator, and Master. (Col 1)
- Water Baptism
It is primarily an act of repentance and a choice to die to the old and live to the new.
- Gifts of the Holy Spirit
We believe in the importance and gifts of the Holy Spirit as written.
They are meant to profit the body and to glorify God.
Our Roots & Beliefs
- Salvation
Believing in Jesus with all our hearts saves us.
(John 3:16-17, Ephesians 2:8-9, Acts 8:37)
But we must also be born again, of water and Spirit. (John 3).
We are a new creation and must live life in the Holy Spirit,
where the old must be put away and the new is put on.
While salvation is given by grace to those who believe, it can also be taken away from the Lord should we be
unfaithful to walk in the new life of His Spirit. (Col 1:21-23, Revelation)
- Discipleship
Every believer needs to be discipled. (Matthew 28, 1 Cor 11:1, Hebrews 13:17)
And eventually we need to disciple others too. (Matthew 28, Hebrews 5:12)
We are...
We are a small team of people who have been blessed by intentional discipleship and we wish to pass it on. Having given up our good-paying jobs and comfort, we have dedicated our lives full time to making disciples and equipping missionaries to be more effective in making last disciples for Christ.
We all live by faith and through tent-making make our living wherever we are. Presently located in Singapore and Kazakhstan (mainly), we wish to expand our work and influence to all nations eventually, one at a time, disciple by disciple.
